It made me question whether I was getting a “New” lens or used or demo model. It also gave me the added distance I was looking for to be safe for me and my clients. They likely expect it to just be perfect straight out of the box, which isn't how most lenses work (At least, under the $3000 range).

8's from Nikon and Canon need to be calibrated and they're around the $2000 mark. I want to take a minute though and go over some things that some people have had issues with.

Update from 6/2/17:After using this lens for the past few months, I gotta say I'm still in love and it's really good value for what you get. Therough feeling of the washed jeans also has a texture expression beyond the digital that can be expressed realistically by expressing the fiber mohmov fluffy of the brushed back hat.

I noticed right out of the box it was front focusing just a bit but with a slight correction with my Sigma dock it nailed focus on about 90% of my shots from this session. At first I thought, it's crazy, why would I spend $1200 on a lens to just take pictures of my cat. )! Not perfect at about a half stop of exposure, but it's by far not that bad.
