For me, this was a fantastic book. Technology has moved on vastly too with electric helicopters, sophisticated AI & communications! At heart this is still an excellent thriller investigating murder, corruption & relationships. As I finished reading I felt as though I’d been on a rollercoaster, a rollercoaster of emotions.
The main character, Cameron Brodie, a police detective, is very flawed but I found him very likeable,& as the story unfolded I began to like him a lot. It is set against a backdrop of immense climate change, making places we know, now unrecognisable. The amazing standard of writing made me feel as though I was there in the snow, hail, blizzards, up the mountains.
