I used some of the adhesive part for the Velcro that came with it and attached them in the middle. On one side close to the bottom leave it loose that way the dog go in out they don’t pull it down. Position it at just the right height so that it has tiny bit of clearance at the bottom, allowing it to properly close whenever one passes through.

If you want to go even further, you might want to consider an air purifier and some Ozium spray, for when the smoke/odor sneaks into a room upon passing through the curtain. This is SO MUCH BETTER! You have to be sure to put it up right or walking through will pull it off the wall.

well. When I placed my curtain, I left a bit too much of a gap at the bottom (hence why I recommend having someone else assist) but, large gap or not, I still HIGHLY recommend getting a draft stopper for your door, as there's only so much a curtain can do. You want to ensure you place it on the opposite side of where your door swings, so the door may swing open and closed unimpeded.
