Battery doesn’t last long for parking mode, and their car kit only cuts off a permanent live when the battery is effectively dead, so can only realistically use a switched live. 2Mbytes/s read; it did not reach the 30MB/s suggested by the speed marking. Then I tested and configured the system with both cameras sitting next to the computer, much easier than after installing them in the car. Fortunately the night vision is excellent.
STAR
The quick start guides are not really good enough, especially when compared with the vast amount of options available shown in the full manual. Overall it's a good quality camera and picks up well in all conditions. The images are excellent, especially those from the front camera with the polarising filter cutting out reflections off the windscreen. For now I also have the G sensor switched off as I found my dashcam to be saving the footage more constant on protection protect file.

A few minutes here could save a lot of time later. After reading many reviews I opted for the 522GW.
The Zoo Keeper
Low is fine for a normal softly suspended family balloon. The media could not be loaded. Nice and discreet little camera pair. The fact I can use one cable from the rear cam to connect to the front camera saves hardwiring to the back of the car somewhere.

I’ve installed the pair of Nextbase 522 ‘dashcams’ (front and rear) in my Mazda3, using the Nextbase hard-wire kit . The wifi and Alexa etc are nice to have for some people, but I’ll not be needing them as I don’t use a phone in the car.
