There is also a great running joke about a wolf and a panini. But I removed one star because honestly this ‘signing’ was clearly done by some pimply book stacker in the back of Waterstones. Adam Kay knows just how to engage his audience. In “Undoctored” he opens up with heartbreaking honesty as well as hilarious anecdotes.

This book will stay with me for a long time. I knew this book delved into much more personal things than This Is Going To Hurt, so I wondered if it would be quite so gripping.

But I needn’t have worried: Adam’s fantastic writing style had me hooked from the first page. Adam is a master storyteller, whether he’s writing about life as a medical student, his relationships, or some of the traumas he’s experienced along the way. I laughed out loud countless times (annoying my other half by reading random bits out I just had to share) and was crying by the end. In writing this latest work, I hope it helps him to heal as much as it entertains his readers.

This book is bloody brilliant.
