I personally could detect a mild essence of leather which complements the other top notes giving this a very fresh and clean aroma. But its design prevents the user from monitoring how much is left. I do think there are nicer, more distinct men's fragrances out there though. The bottle is very attractive.

Please read below review but discount any negative points regarding longevity. Very good

The maximum time I have personally noticed the scent is 5-7 hours. This is a nice perfume - as soon as you smell it, you'll be like 'yep, that smells like a man'. It's a safe bet.

For a parfum I shouldn't need to spray excessive amounts but to get it noticed I must douse myself in it. And clearly it is a scent that woman enjoy on a man. I'm only concerned as I would get this again and would like to see how much is left to order it in time.

So, it has to be sprayed again after a few hours. I wear this most days at work - it isn’t too potent but don’t use much. It's suave. .

For a parfum it doesn't last nearly as long as one would expect. The Montblanc Explorer ultra blue eau de parfum has an opening fragrance of citrus lemon when first sprayed, Then after a minute The citrus lemon fragrance which is the top notes of Italian Bergamont begin to develop and you get The top note essence of mild pink pepper which adds a slight spice aroma to complement the citrus fragrance. They are lovely, fresh and light. It's not fun.

Update: I got my initial review below wrong. The scent is wonderful but it's staying power is weak. My mistake. Obviously people have different opinions on perfumes, so it's honestly down to your personal preference, and it's a bit hard to describe how perfumes smell.
