Jonathan Miller
The most evocative and amazing read. This lovely book more than satisfied my need, and charmed me utterly.
The Monk Dude
She touches some profoundly deeper questions. I suggest that as expained by certain philosophies, the universe is made of consciousness and all beings share the same consciousness reflected through their varied nervous systems. The Soul of an Octopus is an eloquent book about human-animal communication, about animal consciousness and about love.

I recommend buying books through Amazon if you're getting them from Book Depository. There are scientists who give no credence to the concept of consciousness. Did you know that octopuses have three hearts, and that their blood is blue because it uses copper instead of iron to carry oxygen. I prefer to think of us as human animals and others as non-human animals.

To communicate with another? This is an extraordinarily profound and unique book, and I commend it to everyone to broaden their understanding of life and octopodes while enjoying her flowing and elegant writing.
