We struggle a bit to read the yellow crayon's letter in low light at bedtime so we tend to ad lib that one! I ADORE Oliver Jeffers and his illustrations—they're so charming and whimsical! My little one loved this book! 25 cm square, the paperback book has inner flap extensions with a summary of the story on the front one and, on the back, information about the author: DREW DAYWALT & the illustrator: OLIVER JEFFERS, of LOST and FOUND fame, nonchalantly mentioned, upside-down on the front cover of this book!

This imaginative story takes us into the world of Duncan, a young boy who opens his box of crayons to find that they come to life with their own unique personalities and colorful complaints. It's a lovely book, good quality paper. My son has a whole library of books and we read him at least 3 a day, but this is by far my favourite one to read.

From Red feeling overworked to Peach feeling neglected, each crayon has something to say, and it's both hilarious and heartwarming. I think the idea is brilliant and the letters from the crayons are so charming. Sadly the cover has been damaged 💔
