The thing I don't like is that the energy consumption is only shown as current consumption, daily consumption, then consumption for the past week & month. Still refurbishing so pictire is rubbish but the smart plug works arrearReally easy to set upPower monitoring of my rig works well too

I have many of these to try to establish what is using power. It was a replacement for another brand of smart plug that just randomly switched on and off and was just not reliable. This sticks out! Am using it to switch a floor lamp on and off as I cannot be bothered to walk over to the switch!

Will also use timers. It's OK for a crude measure of how much something used, but, for you can't easily tell if power was used in "standby" or in use, or how often something was using power, etc. Great with home assistant for monitoring appliance use and cost. First impressions are good for under £15

Just question of using the app and imputing Wi-Fi password when asked. You can control them with the app, or on a schedule, or with Alexa, which is easy.

I already have Kasa light bulbs and the app on my phone so I was familiar with the process. They linked easily with our WiFi using the Android app. Hope this one turns out to be reliable. That’s lockdown for you.
