After reading the pretty negative comments, it's hard to take the plunge. The bamboo lid, very nice wood effect, goes perfectly with my industrial style kitchen. Very happy with this and fits perfectly with my kitchen. Bread box turned into a storage box, very beautiful design in matte black color.
