Acetone (nail polish remover) will dissolve and remove the tattoo immediately. Let the alcohol dissolve the tattoo then gently wipe away (there should be no need to rub harshly and redden the skin). Spirits (40%+) and rubbing alcohol (70%+) will remove the tattoo within about 30 seconds - simply douse a kitchen towel in the alcohol and then hold down on the tattoo for about 30 seconds.
