). I have what you might call smaller, dainty hands, and my hand hurts if I use this lens on my camera for too long. The truth is whilst it is heavier than a prime 50mm, the length of the lens coupled with the good build quality mean it fits really nicely in your hands and you are quickly absorbed into the shot and not thinking about the extra weight.

It's not a problem for me but worth mentioning in the context of a review. Easy to put the lens on the camera. It contends well against primes while having the versatility of being a zoom lens.

I'm pleased to report that the build quality on this lens is phenomenal. 8 across the range of the zoom and that truly is a breath of fresh air. Finally, I am also a mom, and I have always struggled to capture clear pictures of my kiddos in motion. Mode 1 is OS as you expect it, it stabilises both the horizontal and vertical axis.

It has a nice matte finish and a really premium feel. (This is a review based on my personal experience with the product in question. It's a detail but one that could trip you up if you own a lot of Nikon glass.
