That being said, it was a night saver during those hot summer days. Really nice fan, it does what it says in the box.

However you will still hear it. You just plug it in and essentially there are three controls, an on/off, one which changes the power and one which allows the fan to turn. Its not too big either, here is a picture I took against a standard bottle of water, so you can get a proper sense of proportion. The noise that it does produce isn't a problem anyway on the highest two speeds which are the only ones that produce noticeable sound it is just the natural product of a fast moving fan, without any rattling or shaking that you get with cheap models.

Unlike the standard table fans which always have a bizarrely difficult button that you plunge down in the hope of stopping the fan position in the state you want it, this one has a simple button which makes it an effortless experience. Quiet enough to sleep with in a bedroom on the lower setting.

I'm really pleased, Now it is quiet on the first two settings anyway, its not silent, but then it doesn't claim to be. Very, very easy to use and well made.

This is the best table fan I have ever used, nice and sturdy without being heavy.
