- you get what you request from this machine, and by this I mean noise. In the case of this air con unit it's just slightly (and I emphasize the word "slightly") quieter. If you are a light sleeper then you definitely don't want to have this unit in close proximity to you, but this is essentially true of all portable air conditioning units. And finally.
