To be clear: I bought:Acer Aspire 5 A515-47 15. Love the backlit keys, lightweight, fab spec and great price. With its 16 CPUs (plus the service CPU) ticking over at 2GHz it is blisteringly fast and a joy to use.

maybe this user had the brightness turned right down because I find that with the brightness up it’s a very good picture when viewed from straight in front of the screen. With the back lighting and in lowish ambient lighting I find that the keys are completely clear with the exception of the function keys. These are half height as you can see in my picture.
There are indicator lights on the Caps Lock and the Mute Microphone keys which are good but there isn’t one on the Num Lock key which would have been much more useful than the Mute Microphone key. I have had it for 15 days now and I’m really pleased with itSome reviewers have said that the keyboard is indistinct and hard to use.
