Then comes the tricky bit! Removal of the wheels is by carefully prising them off, don't want to break the plastic! I've wanted one of these for years to try and get a better finish to my weed and feed spreading which has always been a bit naf.

All in all a simple and easy way of spreading a variety of lawn dressings (fertiliser, moss killer, green-up etc. Great Amazon price and fast delivery made this a no-brainer.

Some reviewers found that when they loosened the knob and moved it to the recommended setting the lawn food begins to pour out of the dispersion holes but I think that is because they had moved the spreader so that it was no longer standing upright on the wire stand. Well worth it. Getting that right took a little practice but it did not take long.

Easy to use. Some of the reviews of this Easy Spreader Plus were rather negative. The self tappers I used for pinning the axle are showing signs of corrosion but otherwise another seasons use without maintenance required. Follow the handbook instructions and your lawn will thank you for it xx

I discovered that pushing the spreader in in front and away from you, much the same way as a lawnmower, worked very well - for me at least. Putting the parts together was straightforward - the instructions were adequate. Better service than the DIY sheds that sell this for more. Not recommended for a large lawn - unless you have the time and want the exercise!

Replaced the axle with a 25mm plastic conduit, it's a perfect resistance fit, no gluing, however, after a load test I found it needs pinning on both of the wheels and both of the internal rotating spreader bar parts. When I changed the setting from '0' to '4' it did not 'leak'. So I didn't read the instruction manual and got carried away with sticking the wheels on and the spreader had come off the axle, so needed to disassemble, which was reassuringly difficult and then put back together with a little care. ) at a reasonable price.

It has saved me half an hour and helped do a better job. I got a very even finish with the exception of 1 rushed bit in the corner, one tiny strip where I drifted out too far and an overdose where I topped up the hopper and did not turn shut the delivery holes.
