Then lightly sanded the rest of the piece, such as doors etc but not to bare wood, just to remove any little bits stuck to it over the years and make a nice surface to paint over - note most of the deep, dark wood stain was still present. ! It was fast drying but easy to use.

Looked everywhere and for this size tin, is normally £24 plus so I was pleased I got it cheaper. So one coat using a chalk paint brush, which is a round tip, natural hair brush - again, from amazon - quite a big size but it gets into grooves and corners well so that's the only brush you need - note just, wet it once before you use it. I did two coats on both pieces which gave a nice texture to the surface and the results are lovely. Amazing quality and so pleased with the colour we chose suits so well.

The paint did dry lighter than the tin even with two coats and it's more of a mint colour but my wardrobe looks lovely and always gets compliments. Thick to work with but it looks great on.
