The cards are helpful though for starting learning of phonics. One of the ‘recommended activities’ is getting your child to identify the image before identifying the sound; this was a non-starter in these cases.

I bought these cards to help my son at home after using the cards myself at work as a TA. I will be keeping the set as I don't want to wait another week for a replacement to arrive.
