I needed one of these enclosures for a M2 drive that i needed to pull files off of. With other drives the enclosures gets so hot to the touch that it feels like it's on fire.

2 drive until I noticed this item. The nice thing about the actual metal enclosure is that it allows for great heat transference if the SSD that you're using gets hot during use.

It has the B & M keys and this device is compatible. Heat also appears to not be as much as an issue as some of the other enclosures I've used, which is strange as I didn't think the enclosure played a part in the drive's heat production. I was wondering what to do with the old M. The case is a useful item, IMHO

5" drive. The cable that comes with is removable and it is a very well-built cable. My MBP 15 clocked this at 400MB/s write and 513 MB/s read, which is respectable performance.
