Of course the M. The Manfrotto plate has a lip that prevents the foot from lying flat. I also found that the Olympus with and without the teleconverter looked better than the Panasonic.

5 cm; 2 3/8", 6 cmI also found the Olympus focus ring to be easier to turn. - usable with the HRes mode of the Olympus/OM System cameras for an 80 Mpx image (tripod) Disadvantages: - weight, size (but not much bigger than the Zuiko 40-150 f/2. I'm going to check out the Panasonic 200mm f/2.

4 teleconverter, figuring it would be easier to use and less detrimental to picture quality than the 2x teleconverter. The photos I’ve picked are not special they are just my last three I took with it .

This review should have been posted nearly a year ago, and now that I am finally getting around to it, I see there is a newer version of the Panasonic 100-400, which of course brings on another bout of "did I get the right lens? Please see the attached picture.

I would really recommend this lens! I purchased a Manfrotto Quick Release Plate with 1/4" Screw Quick Setup Kit for $12.
