Great drive but if you can afford the firecuda over this then I would get the segate over the WD any day, more of a personal preference in terms of quality for me. it runs hot. I reported the case to amazon and they swiftly resolved it.

I suspect there's warehouse theft ongoing with items like these. I think my firecuda would be wasted in the ps5 for the money, but equally this isn't that much cheaper and its hard to justify this nvme over the segate. - pop off one side plate off the PS5- locate the m2 plate which has a small PS logo screw to undo, remove silver plate- inside is a retainer screw, remove as this is needed to hold down the m2 drive which is smaller in length than where the retainer screw is currently.

Nothing too complex by any stretch of the imagination. Nice and easy to install- Ensure you buy a seperate compatible heatsink, this involves adding thermal paste strips on either side of this drive, and encasing within the heatsink. Brought the 2TB and the 1TB in March 2022 ( SN850) from amazon ,overall no complaints.
