As this evaporates, it provides a cooling effect that helps to relieve the itch – helping to prevent scratching.
- The cooling gel helps to break the ITCH, SCRATCH, INFECTION cycle, soothing and calming the itch, helping you to help your child and avoid long-term scarring.
- A small amount of gel should be squeezed out of the tube and then rubbed into the affected areas of skin sparingly with a light massaging action.
- ViraSoothe is an odourless, easy to apply clear gel that can be applied all over the body and face (avoid contact with the eyes).
- Suitable for infants over 6 months, children, adults and the elderly
- After applying, hands should then be washed again.
- It is suitable for children over the age of 6 months, is non-messy and is rapidly absorbed bythe skin.
- It should be applied two or three times a day or whenever relief is needed.

P. When it dries (it takes about 10-15minutes to do that) it creates something of a film on the skin and that protects it for another good couple of hours.

Took a day and a half to delivery to france (amazon prime) the product itself is worth the money, helped my 3year old daughter from scratching and cooled the skin and reduced redness. Poxclin didn't seem to do anything; whereas virasoothe, soothed the itch immediately.

It didn't completely take the itch away, but made it tolerable. it also helps with less scarring as well and less itching at the scabs. It really helped in the long term as well as the spots never became so itchy that they be scratched and this has helped them heal much faster. Bear in mind I had to order it in, it was not readily available in either Lloyds, Boots or the local Sainsbury's pharmacies.

They were able to tell me where it was itchy and how much and each time the gel was applied it worked within 5 minutes. It's amazing and not sticky, really helps kids with chickenpox. 73, which is I feel is better as it is cheaper that way.
this product is rather expensive to buy, but it is worth every drop, the instant it goes on its cools down the skin, it's consistency is like clear Jelly/ water and went on skin easily and dried within a minute or so, instant relief. after giving her an oat bath i covered her in the gel and she was able to play & have a nap with ZERO scratching or moaning! I cannot recommend it highly enough - if there is one thing that you buy when there is someone with chickenpox this has got to be it! My one year old is covered head to toe in chicken pox & we had a rough couple nights with her itching etc so i ordered this to arrive that next morning and omg i wish id done it sooner!
It also seems that since using this, the blisters that are appearing are much smaller than the previous ones. I think especially younger children who cannot say where it is most itchy would be most relieved to have it applied as it would really cool down their skin. I would definitely recommend it.
