Despite not being as invested in Heroes as I was in Mythos (I much prefer the tales of the gods), I found this an educational and enjoyable listen! The pages between 318 and 366 are printed upside down!

“To all the heroes we have never heard of. In the Foreword, he tells us that he knows, “how off-putting for some Greek names can be,” and assures us that, “whether you like to say Eddipus or Eedipus, Epidaurus or Ebeethavros, Philoctetes of Philocteetes, the characters and stories remain the same. I’m now ordering the first volume, Mythos, to get some of the earlier tales, and I’m hoping Stephen Fry doesn’t stop here with Heroes but goes on to give us retellings of Homer’s Odyssey & Iliad and Virgil’s Aeneid, stories I’d certainly look forward to reading in the future.

These are absolutely wonderful retellings of Greek mythology. ”Having adored Mythos, Heroes was the natural progression in my Greek mythology readings!

”I listened to Heroes as an audiobook, and doing so made me wish I had ‘audio-booked’ Mythos too! Highly recommended. I'm sure many agree, that the coloured secondary page really makes this book (as well as Mythos) shine and stand out from other books, therefore disappointed that it is missing.

I have the impression it has been ripped out, as I find it difficult to believe that the publication distributed the book with an obviously missing page. Amazing stories and super easy to fly through the trilogy. As can be seen in the pictures, the coloured page underneath the cover page is missing. (Although, I must say, listening to many of the Greek characters portrayed in Scottish and Welsh accents was bizarre!

Perhaps you are one. Nice product My favourite retellings were those of Heracles, Jason and, by extension, The Argonauts.

I hope you find my review helpful. )There were a few tales I’d heard before, and yet more that I hadn’t!
