Would buy again! When it arrived I looked at all colours and picked the ones I thought would be closest to try, using a very small brush to dab a little on. Used it to paint the wooden frame of my coffee table.

Over the years the finish has been removed from using a brush to get greasy steam cooking residues out of the nooks and crannies. I have solid wood kitchen units stained "warm oak" with matching cornicing, dado etc.

This needed 3 coats to get the depth I wanted, not sure if wood was pine or oak as bought 2nd hand. I then applied 3 coats of matt varnish over the top. Very easy to use, and easy to remove as you are working in case you do a mistake. Easy to apply and fast drying so all good, would recommend.

Once dry, I applied a coat of wax to buff it up to a slight sheen to match the rest of the units and I'm really happy with the result as I really don't want to have to buy a new kitchen, they just aren't the same quality anymore unless you pay out ridiculous sums of money. I then applied two coats of the wood stain (dark oak). Once dried, very stable, it’s quite robust in quality, it’s been a few months since I painted the wood, and it still holds very nicely.

Worked wonderfully! However as it is solid wood, it can be refinished, the problem was going to be colour matching which can work out pretty expensive having to buy even the smallest pots in most outlets. The legs of the chair now match the legs on the sofa and saved me from a potentially expensive mistake!

The only negative is that it tends to mask the grain rather than enhancing it, more like a paint than a stain. I think another third coat would make it too uniform. This paint was great! It dries to a matt finish so I just used another cloth to rub down the surface to bring out the grain.
