Same goes with the crunchy guitar and jolting techno of 'Disco 2000'. 'Common People', though played a lot, just is such an important song, and no track better encapsulates a whole people. But Different Class is so much more than that. 'Mis-shapes' and 'Pencil Skirt' is yet more of Cocker at his most debauched, but it makes for some pretty catchy tracks, with 'Underwear' proving the same.

Definitely recommend. It's Britpop. Just read the quote on the back of the booklet; it rings true even today. Different Class has a surprisingly diverse tapestry to it, from art rock to more conventional indie numbers, and undeniable early Britpop.

It is a really good album every song is well written and put together, it's sounds as fresh as it did back in the day! And, well, it never gets old.

There are definitely Britpop bands I prefer - Oasis, for one - but I do think Different Class by Pulp is the genre's definitive moment. Tracks 3 and 5 stuck in my ears.
