It’s not from being pulled on, it looks like the stitching of the binding cut the pages and now they are falling out. TL;DR5/5 for product! I would give a 2/5 shipping, but since it is a present and I don't have to deal with the damage (but my brother), I will give it a 5/7.

My son is familiar with his letters and their sounds, so he was understandably confused most of the time. Idea:The book itself is great, it is exactly what I need to teach my nephew correct English (second language for all of us), while confusing him, and most importantly annoy my little brother with this present. The pages of the book are tearing right along the stitches from being bound. The book is cute and funny and definitely a favorite in our house.

. My 5 year old boy laughs hysterically at pages like J is for Jai Alai, O is for Ouji, and S is for Seas. Just today I spent 10 minutes trying to tape 3 pages back into the book, but then found 3 more pages that had begun to fall out and had to reinforce those as well.

Highly recommended. The paper is thick, feels good, it has a hard cover, and an additional wrapped paper cover. Arrived damaged, no time for returns. This was such a fun book!
