so Thankyou Heidi MavirYour words validated my experiences By page 30 your hit with a statistic that verifies my instinct and knowledge that we were not a unique case, that my child wasn't 'unusual or difficult' but that she was part of a staggering recent statistic of 'almost 1 MILLION children and young people who are persistently absent from school up to (and probably more than) 300,000 of them are kids identified as having Special Educational Needs'I would've really benefited from reading this straight talking terminology busting book a few years back when I was down to my last piece of sanity but it is so therapeutic to read that what youve gone/going through and most importantly WHAT you child has gone/going through isn't an isolated or unique at all.

Oh - and a quick read too (though I'll likely read it twice! Thank you so much Heidi for sharing your story with us, I’ll be recommending “Your Child is not Broken” to all the SEND parents I know!
