The battery life isn't very long, but enough for small kids to play and take turns with, and the remote control beeps at you when it is running low, so you don't get stranded out in a big pond! It can also charge from a battery bank while out if needed. Just avoid sand as it will grind into the gears.

While not as accurate as moving steering linkages etc, there is far less to get damaged or jammed this way. So far doesn't show signs of falling apart and we have been doing the odd jump of about the height of the wheels or thereabouts.

Excellent fun. Obviously with the integrated battery you can't swap out a spare and keep driving.
