There are 5 power levels, but I will probably only use defrost and high anyway. Very nice I was surprised to see the terrible light inside the microwave considering how well Russel Hobbs looked after the rest of the aesthetics.

It was well packed which is lucky as there were a few bits of damage to the box, but the microwave was fine. Decent value at £94. The timer only goes up to 35 minutes and as its not digital, it’s not accurate to the second or anything like that and of course there is no clock.

Russell Hobbs RHMM713G 17 L 700 W Scandi Compact Grey Manual Microwave with 5 Power Levels, Wood . ! It’s not silent but doesn’t “sound like a tractor” as one other reviewer phrased it. I didn’t think I’d been that heavy handed with the damp cloth, but maybe I don’t know my own strength?

A mention regarding functionality, I was really pleased that like on my old microwave, you are able to simply press 'start' to begin cooking, it sets the timer to 1 minute, and you can rotate the knob to adjust the time up or down. My criteria was something small enough to fit, functional and inexpensive. Russell Hobbs is a brand you can trust, well made and sleek looking.

The microwave works perfectly, is as basic as they come but very stylish. This product appealed to me as it doesn’t look like your bog standard microwave. My previous microwave was also a Russell Hobbs, and it has lasted over 7 years, it’s still working but getting a little tatty, so I went for another Russell Hobbs but with basic controls. I love the scans I design of this micro.

Great product, I’d definitely recommend it. Additionally, when opening the microwave, you can feel a seam where the faux wood film must join on the back of the handle. A lovely shade of muted green, looks great alongside my marble tilesg. Despite these small imperfections I decided to keep the microwave to prevent the whole return and new order debacle.
