I hope that bogus cable isn't an indicator of long-term reliability - at least it was cheap! This is about as minimal as you can get.

I'm not for sure still if it just needs usb charged or hooked up all the time to it, but it works for me atm. BE AWARE: You will still need an RCA cable to go along with this product. And it does work so it will serve the purpose of viewing DVDs we purchased before Prime Video and Disney+ were a thing. I thankfully had a spare USB port in my pc outlet/extension setup.

There's absolutely no difference in the quality/resolution of 720 and 1080 in comparison to my 32 in smart tv. Very easy to set up. I was kinda hoping things would look less blurry but maybe I'm too use to modern games.

That is, until I went to tuck the assembly behind the receiver. I connected one of the spare chargers I had from a Kindle Fire with the included USB cable, and everything worked perfectly.

As long as you have all the cords needed for your PS2 and an HDMI laying around, you are all good to go! It comes with a flat HDMI cable, a USB-A to Micro USB cable, but no power supply. This converter put me back in the 90s to say the least, but in the best way possible.

It requires the power cord, some AV cords that come with and meet with the other AV cords to establish a sound/video connection, and an hdmi to convert that to your new tv standards. I love that the power cord has plenty of length for me to tuck it away where I please.

That's when I realized it was a bad idea to overlook what was an obvious problem (see picture). Literally, plug and play! I replaced it with a spare cable, and it's all good.
