About this deal
Flavor: Rich caramel character with hints of red apple and clove with a whisper of nuttiness. Nc’Nean Distillery is introducing third seasonal release from their Autumn series, Quiet Rebels. Appearance: Color Golden. This time, it’s the distillery manager Gordon who has picked his favourite combination of casks to create the most moreish of whiskies. As soon as the family were able to afford the correct paperwork this was done with the distillery experiencing fantastic growth from its tiny beginnings throughout the mid 19th century. Cardhu comes from one of the oldest of the Speyside distilleries, which have nestled in foothills near the River Spey for 200 years and the Cardhu range is an excellent representation of these Speyside whiskies. Cardhu can trace its history back to 1811 when John and Helen Cumming first started to distil- albeit without a licence initially (neighbours would look out for the Red Flag, which was a sign that excise officer was visiting). It arrived in good time and was very well protected.

It doesn't taste biting or anything at all, but rather tender, I would describe that as “female. Later, the vanilla flavors come through.
