It is safe to use around children / pets and I highly recommend it. The next day the problem is gone, we typically don't see any come inside again from that colony once they take the bait back to their nest. This Nippon liquid has proven to be a highly effective solution for eliminating the ant colonies on our property.

We have tried a number of different ant control products in the past, but none have been as effective as this one. We found that within 30-60 minutes, lots of ants come to feast (see pic) and the majority of the bait it taken.
This product is highly effective and efficient solution to control ants. We found early in the season it is not as effective and they don’t seem interested (I read they crave different types of food, depending on if their Queen is actively laying eggs), so don’t give up as next time you’ll find they appear to love it, tell each other and take the bait back to their queen which wipes them out.
One of the things that sets this product apart is its effectiveness in the later summer months when ant colonies tend to be at their most active. Leaving a few large drops of Nippon along the ant's path is an effective way to feed them. Does the job Fight the urge to get the vacuum out, as you need to leave them to consume as much as possible, undisturbed.
