It's water and alcohol based, so it's a good idea to apply it in a ventilated area. This worked like magic for my 9 week Boston terrier pup, she was always chewing the corner of my sofa and doesn't know what "NO" means .

Since I left the spray for a little while longer seems to work his not been back to the side skirt he damages initially. You need to apply often. My boyfriend introduced me to bitter apple spray for coating the wires and this has proved extremely successful at deterring his destructive rodent predilections.

I attach a picture of the puppy (Teddie) feeling sorry for herself so that you can all say ahhhhh, and tell me what a cruel heartless git I am. It doesn't appear to stain, change the colour or appear to damage wires in my personal experience.

So much so that I have just bought a second bottle. At time of writing I have no idea as to how long it lasts, however if your puppy is like ours, it tends to obsess on a few chewable items and this spray quickly removes that obsession and she moved back to her toys. It doesn't have a bad odour, so doesn't repel our cat from being near it, just from tasting it.
