The method of storytelling is very engaging. The world of Podkin one-ear is so involving and vivid, from the history, religions and geography. I loved this book and couldn't put it down. He has come to tell a story to the rabbits of a warren city.

Thankfully, the perspective only changes chapter to chapter, so it doesn't get confusing and is easy to follow. How the author gives so much back story to the characters you meet is great, and the lore and social aspects of rabbit life is very interesting. Then in the next chapter, it is the Bard speaking to us, telling us the story of Podkin directly, as if we were the little rabbit children.
If I could give more stars for this book I would. Read it! One moment the author is telling us what the rabbit Bard is doing.
The characters are memorable and fun, and though they go through many hardships, they are full of hope. This book is suitable for most, though there is some violence and a mention of blood during injuries.
