Use your best judgement! ) but this didn't even come close to being a new favorite lol. He tried to play on a team with someone to help with reading, but was bored and left partway through the game.

Because of the many pieces of this game you need a good size space to play, and it would make this game harder to take and play on the go. Just expect a fairly steep learning curve. I have a hard time believing a 10-year-old could figure out this game on their own.

Sometimes it feels a little luck-based, where you're just waiting ages for the right card to come up which is a little frustrating, but once you get in the second half of the game where you're actually making progress, it gets a lot more exciting. So read up ahead of time and maybe suggest characters who are in-line with each player's skill level/abilities to "handicap" things fairly for balance. Unless your child is good at following a lot of moving pieces to a game I wouldn’t buy this for anyone younger than a teenager.

(Though Horrified is the BEST Ravensburger game! ) but got frustrated that the Ambition, Credits, and other tokens all basically look alike (one's a black hexagon, one's a black octagon, and one is a rectangle. I mean, it's kinda funny, but it's an odd choice design-wise :PThe art deco character pieces are pretty neat (and very sturdy!

The cards are thin, the middle component tray is fragile plastic that doesn't comfortably fit all the components (the insert is made of stronger plastic) and I already mentioned the issues with the sculpts. It's a great game for Star Wars fans, especially if you want something a little less time-intensive.
I wouldn't try to play it with kids younger than 8, my 5 year old is a huge Star Wars fan and plays most games with us (including Wingspan and The Adventures of Robin Hood) but this is beyond him. For first time players I would set apart an hour to go over the setup and play through one game. The game estimates it takes around 20 minutes per person which felt about right, especially as you figure out how to play and start moving through the turns quickly. The theme makes the game.
