Luke
A moving, educative call to arms, full of great stories – of sharing nature with children, of brave farmers trying new ways against the odds, of how we can learn from the past. A story told with pathos and humour in a voice that draw you in, Sarah’s tale of how she found herself returning to her family’s farming ‘roots’, and the things she learned about our food system along the way, elicits the whole spectrum of human emotion: from joy at witnessing her children revel in nature to sadness as she comes to understand how that very system can be complicit in its destruction. For anyone interested in farming, the countryside, the future, this is a wonderful read.
