About this deal
The brainchild of Gerry Calabrese and James Rackham of Emporia Brands who appointed world renowned distillers, Gabriel Boudier of Dijon, France, the task to make this unusual, tasty grapefruit and coconut gin. A retro concoction popular in the 18th century, traditionally sweetened, in their case they use a hand-crafted hibiscus sugar. Maceration takes place for 5 days before single distillation in a 150-year-old copper pot still, it is then rested in steel tanks for two months whilst all the natural botanicals harmonise. Quality is key so we’ve only used a medley of natural and ethically sourced ingredients including juniper, iris, tarragon and ginger which are macerated for 5 days before single distillation in a 150 year old copper pot still to obtain the perfect and ultra smooth distillate, which is blended with our premium grain spirit and then finished with natural coconut and pink grapefruit. This is superbly well balanced gin with a silky, mouth-filling range of flavours. On the nose, there's a lovely mixture of the floral character of roses backed by the firm tannin of tea. Hoxton Gunpowder & Rosehip Premium Pink Gin is crafted in the style of Old Tom gin. Off-dry, with a lovely balanced between sweetness and rose perfume on one han, the sharpness of citrus and the grip of tannin from the gunpowder tea. Off-dry, with a lovely balance between the sweetness and rose perfume on one hand, the sharpness of citrus and the grip of tannin from the Gunpowder tea.

As suggested, I mixed with Fever Tree ginger ale and a large icecube! It’s pretty potent!

Very smooth and enjoyable. This is a very different gin! My friend said to try with ginger instead of tonic and it’s my new summer drink.
