They may be children's books but they are very magical and lovely and super enjoyable to read. Whilst playing hide and seek Lucy hides in a wardrobe and discovers inside is an entrance to a whole other place.

I wasn't expecting the pace to be so quick and exciting. I read the prequel The Magician's Nephew first and I'm glad I did as I already knew of Queen Jadis, Aslan and the land of Narnia.

This was such a great read and I would definitely urge anyone who hasn't tried these books before to consider reading them. Meeting talking animals along the way they have to save themselves and the land from an evil witch as well as eventually getting back home. This was so fast paced.

In this story set in the time of war four siblings Lucy, Edmund, Peter and Susan are evacuated to the countryside to stay in the home of an old professor. Bit of a shame the outer cover isn’t perfect.
