I’ve never really been into the retelling kinda thing but this hit the mark for me and I think I might just need to start reading retellings more now. Finally a fairytale for adults….

the more the merrier I guess, hehe 😏And let’s talk about dark Peter Pan, he’s way better than the one from my childhood wearing tights! In this version of Peter Pan's story, you won't find laughter and a boy who doesn't want to grow up and spends his life fighting Captain Hook. Also they literally rip a guys heart out for touching her (Pips kind of men🥵😉). I enjoyed the character development and the setting.

Oh how I enjoyed this short retelling of a wicked Peter Pan, Winnie & the Lost Boys. So I was very happy when I found the bookish box’s darkly page ( @darklybybookishbox ), they recommended hot, spicy and dark books, (thirsty Thursday is my favourite day of the week😉) and The Never King is a recommendation I found in their page. The entire story had me questioning what would happen next. I loved this a lot!

I also enjoyed the dialogues and because the author doesn't get too involved, she gets straight to the point without filling up sausage. I fell in love with the characters and the plots and when I finished reading I couldn't do anything other than take the second one to continue in this universe. I am desperate to read book 2 because damn I need it.

I was kinda digging this little violent, devious side of him. The entire story could’ve been described in more detail this book only has 196 pages with 32 chapters instead of 206 like the book description says.
