In this world of lockdown and DIY attempts, it's still less expensive to make the mistake, correct it, reorder the materials and do it again, than it is hiring a professional! I thought the worktop would be forever ruined, recently installed where tea stains from lodgers were the current worry, then I go and do this!

FYI Stixall is marketed as a multi purpose adhesive and sealant, but I'd never use it as sealant ever again. Big size. Having read that WD40 can remove silicone sealant, I wondered how it would tackle a stain on a wooden worktop. It's a safe quality product.
