Overall a great product. I used a 7/32" with a little wiggling, but I'm sure a 1/4" drill bit would work too. O. The box is smaller so its easier to fit than the original.

Wish it was thinner instead. The yellow wire should stick out to allow for the remote to function well.

Great value for what you get. Do not use the regular wire nuts that are already in the box, they take too much space. Fortunately, the device comes with small wired nuts which are perfect for the small space.

The remote feels cheep in thin plastic but works as expected. It’s not really small but smaller than older versions.

After 3 yrs remote stopped working. She like the temp cold and the ceiling fan helps a lot at nights. However, because the canopy was very small, I had to cut the hot and cold wires from the box as well as the fan wires to just about 4 inches long so that the wires could fit inside the canopy. I would buy again, I verify the size of the cover (bowl) that holds the fan so that it would hide the module as described.
