I wouldn't buy this version if you've never seen the show or read the books before because the artwork before each chapter tells you, relatively, what happens in that chapter. In addition to the well-known novel, this edition contains more than 70 full-page illustrations of various artists in black and white, as well as some in colour.

Hardcover book and readable size gives reading more taste; and with these images it gets even more exciting. Unfortunately, as in the picture, the sheet of the end of the book came glued to the cover and it turned out that damaged both. I still fully recommend that everyone buy it. .

Some sigils might be hard to see, or house colors are impossible to figure out since they are shown in blacks, greys, and whites. Now I am not sure if this is something wrong with my copy specifically or for every copy, but that is what I received so that is what i am going to review.

1) some of the images at the beginning of the chapters actually spoil what happens in the chapter. The story is obviously is top notch. Example: the image of bran in the woods should be in a bran chapter, however it is 3 pages later in a Tyrion chapter. I feel like 3/5 are greyscale.

There is only one flaw in the book, as far as I can tell, and it is the fact that many of the illustrated pages are printed greyscale. And they fit the descriptions in the book alot more accurately, which is even more amazing since the illustrations were done by different people.

All of the paintings beautifully captured the characters and various moments in the book. Other than that, the book is incredibly made, spine & binding are flawless, the book itself is beautiful and could take a beating. A few coloured illustrations are sprinkled around but there aren't many.
