the only reason i gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that the plastic housing is not solid as described and will nu act as a guide for rods below 7. As a small “craft addition”, I installed a 3mm guide (see pictures): I used two 3mm flanged ball bearings of the F-623-ZZ type for this purpose and used them on the 10-series boring sleeve.

The drilling bushings are made of steel and are suitable for drills ranging from 4 to 12 mm in diameter. The tool does a very good job, at least with wood.
