The cordless models are more suited to jobs that last minutes rather than hours - if you're going to be grinding away for hours on end then a corded tool makes more sense (despite the rapid charge times the Li-ion batteries can achieve). It handles well, is not too noisy, and has the power to tackle any cutting/grinding jobs I'm likely to ask of it.

this machine is definitely worth the 5 stars given as it cut through all of these tough quarry tiles with ease and made the job a breeze! This flathead model DeWALT grinder can get into narrow places the standard model can't, and that's the main reason I chose this variant from their range of models. I have just two 5Ahr batteries at present but will likely invest in more as I own other tools too.

DeWALT angle grinders consistenly came out top (or near top) in the reviews I read/watched so I felt confident it would be a good buy. The convenience of not having to trail a mains lead to the job has to be balanced against the requirement of having a sufficient number of batteries to complete the job.
