This can mean that making a change leads to a wait - often a couple of minutes - while this is processed. This caught my eye, with 12gb RAM and a 512GB SSD for under £400 (£385 when I bought it).

- and changes in my spreadsheets are mostly immediate, and a worst 2-3 seconds, which makes a huge difference. Very happy with it. Response speed is as hoped - quick! I multitask with a lots of apps and windows open, and also run some quite big spreadsheets.

So, I wanted at least 8-12GB of RAM to do that and as big a hard drive to go with it as available. I've been using it for a few weeks now and I'm really impressed with it.

Sound and connectivity are also good. I have it running Window 11 (on 'Insider' releases) and not had any issues. Along with a new notebook, that I use for travelling, I wanted a new laptop as I needed something more powerful. It has a good, responsive, keyboard and trackpad.

The large screen is clear and crisp.
