USB 3 performance seems fine, though it's less critical in any case as I'm using it for backup rather than as main storage. Overall, recommended as a way to make use of old HDD laptop drives (or pair with a new SSD, for a fast and robust - no moving parts, external drive) The enclosure is really good. Color of is much darker than on the picture, it's like a wine red.

Kit comes with a 50cm/20inch USB cable. After finding myself with yet another excess laptop drive (after upgrading to an SSD), I wanted a quick easy way to make good use of the 1TB HDD I'd removed.
