Only reason 4 stars is because it doesn't latch shut. It really seems as though there should be a way to secure the barn shut, as it has a carrying handle. I teach 18 months to 2 year olds & I have 10 kids in my class, so if it can withstand the children in my class, it definitely will work for one or two children. The barn comes with realistic animals, a gate & ladder.

Inside it has stables for the animals. The only thing I didn’t like was the odd colored dog. Don’t know if this was an error or what.

Things do not always fall out and open up-- but sometimes they do. Why is my dog neon yellow?

The animals are a nice hard plastic, and have nice features. The dog is highlighter yellow, blue and orange? We love Melissa and Doug toys! I personally HIGHLY recommend it.

Purchased other animal set from different store that was 100xd better ! I love that it came with some animals as well…but please tell me why the dog is painted with blue, yellow and orange, and the goat has bright yellow horns? Many years ago I purchased this farm, but after many uses with 2 year olds, it started to break.
