My son has been thoroughly enjoying fairy tales recently especially Goldilocks so it was great to share the same traditional tale with a twist! plus some rather unexpected inhabitants. My son loved joining in with all the repeated refrains 'Who's been sitting on my fish? .
' My son loved the 3 crocodiles and the expressions on the faces are so funny! The characters in this story are no exception and we loved them. We were immediately drawn to this through the gorgeous illustrations. ' and 'Who's been eating my seaweed?
We love David Mellings artwork. A lovely new version of a favourite fairy tale. The sound of the sea calls to them and before they know it, they have found quite a different sort of house. there are bowls, chairs and sort-of-beds.
This was such a fun story with Goldilocks discovering a cave by the sea whilst she was hunting for the Three Bears cottage.
