My daughter loves his documentaries so it is lovely to share this with her too Apparently there are many more books in this series, some picture books and even some board books. Little David Attenborough grew up in Leicester on the campus of a university, where his father was a professor. This is another in the series of biographies for children aged four to eight years old, this picture book inspires children.

The illustrations are on the bland side but have enough detail to hold the readers interest. It's hard cover is high quality. The touch and sounds within the environment, the chance to meet and understand animals in their own environment. Paper dolls, learning cards, matching games, and other fun learning tools provide even more ways to make the lives of these role models accessible to children.

The only other Little People book I've read is Mary Shelley. That book covered her personal life and marriage. The story of this young naturalist who became famous is sweet and perfect for young children with an interest in animals. As a child, he spent hours in the science library, collating his own specimens and creating a mini animal museum.
