Very pleased with this. So worth getting a velcro zip net which are easily available on Amazon and cheap, or you can do what i've done and get a piece of clear acrylic cut to size, that slots into the casement, with a hole cut in for the extractor hose to clip into.

this year I got in early. I can’t comment on larger rooms but for a smaller area like a tent it cooled it very quickly. I wouldn’t say it would cool a whole flat but it does one large bedroom very effectively.

This unit is functioning well. Only downside for me is that it blows sideways (left side from the front) and the lowest fan speed is still high for me. The functions are a fantastic, as everyone else states, I wish 'Low' was a bit lower but do understand the limitations of a powerful unit at such a small size, can't do it all.

My exhaust pipe isn’t insulated around the window opening but it doesn’t seem to make much difference, it still works very well. It’s no louder than my tower fan, I’ve registered it on low as maybe 60db. Effective, and an excellent price point. I just had to remove the letterbox to expose the hole and a bit of craftiness made it all come together nicely.
